MUHSEN accepts speaker requests in the following areas
General Community Awareness
A general presentation on the basics of different types of disability, basic facts, and our duties as Muslims on how to care for and be inclusive of individuals with disabilities.
A khutbah on the topic of disability.
Licensed Counselor/ Support Group
Support Groups are led by professionals to support community members that need advice, someone to talk to, or the need to meet people they can relate to.
Led by a trained Behavior Specialist (BCBA), this workshop is targeted towards parents of individuals with special needs and it teaches parents how to handle behaviors at home.
A presentation targeted towards middle schoolers and high schoolers on what disability is (sensitivity training) and how to deal with peers that may have disabilities inschools or at the masjid.
Our school coordinator prepares teachers and TAs with the teaching methods, curriculum, and behavioral materials when opening a Muhsen Weekend School program.
This fun and interactive presentation is targeted towards middle school, high school and college aged youth on what disability is (sensitivity training) and how to deal with peers that may have disabilities in schools or at the masjid

American Sign Language Services
Islamic content and events can be made accessible to include our brothers and sisters who are deaf and hard of hearing. Muhsen can provide you with an ASL interpreter for your event, please request one on the form below and we will get back to you about our interpreters availability.
Braille Qurans should be a part of every masjid and Islamic community center in order to provide an option for our brothers and sisters who are blind.
Please request one for your center and Muhsen will send you an English Braille Quran through our partner Islam By Touch.
In an effort to support the Muslim community who is deaf or hard of hearing, MUHSEN is dedicated to supporting masajid and other organizations in making their content more accessible.
Sign Language interpreters can be requested for in person or virtual khutbahs, events, Eid, etc.
Captioning services can be requested to make your digital Islamic content more accessible.
Our volunteer coordinator does detailed how-to and etiquette training for volunteers who are interested in working directly with individuals with special needs.
Through this training, they become a Muhsen Certified Volunteer
