1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering as a volunteer on the MUHSEN Volunteer Platform (volunteer.muhsen.org), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not register or use the platform.
2. About MUHSEN
MUHSEN (Muslims Understanding and Helping Special Education Needs) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with special needs and their families within the Muslim community. Our volunteer platform connects volunteers with opportunities to serve at MUHSEN events and programs.
3. Volunteer Eligibility
- Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older (18+ for certain opportunities as specified)
- Volunteers must provide accurate and complete registration information
- MUHSEN reserves the right to accept or decline volunteer applications at its discretion
4. Volunteer Responsibilities
By registering for a volunteer shift you agree to:
- Arrive on time and fulfill your committed shift
- Notify MUHSEN as soon as possible if you are unable to attend a scheduled shift
- Conduct yourself professionally and respectfully toward participants, families, and staff
- Follow all instructions provided by MUHSEN supervisors and staff
- Maintain confidentiality regarding participants and their families
5. Liability Waiver
By volunteering with MUHSEN you acknowledge that volunteer activities may involve physical activity and interaction with individuals with special needs. You voluntarily assume all risks associated with volunteering. MUHSEN, its officers, directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from your participation in volunteer activities, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
6. Media Release
By registering as a volunteer you grant MUHSEN permission to use your name, likeness, and image in photographs, videos, and other media for promotional and educational purposes related to MUHSEN’s mission, without compensation.
7. Platform Use
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You may not share your account with others
- You may not use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- MUHSEN reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
8. SMS Notifications
By providing your mobile phone number during registration and checking the SMS consent box, you agree to receive text message notifications related to your volunteer activities. 9. Privacy
Your personal information is collected and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy at muhsen.org/privacy-policy. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
10. Changes to Terms
MUHSEN reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
