This August, Tanveer will be competing in the America’s Para Archery Cup Leg 2 & World Ranking Event 2025, taking place in Chicago from August 26 – September 1, 2025. MUHSEN is proud to support him as he represents the United States on this remarkable stage.
About Tanveer Ahmed
Tanveer’s path into archery began unexpectedly in 2019 during a training workshop on health and physical education in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. It was there that he met Muhammad Ijaz, an instructor who had coached several blind girls in the sport. Inspired by Ijaz’s work, Tanveer persistently requested to be trained in archery. After nearly nine months of determination, Ijaz finally agreed, marking the beginning of Tanveer’s journey in the sport. From that day forward, Tanveer never looked back.
His athletic achievements extend beyond archery. In 2025, Tanveer made his debut in Beep Baseball at the World Series in St. Louis, Missouri, representing the New York Bombers Beep Baseball Team. In his very first appearance, he earned the prestigious Best Rookie of the Year 2025 award. Tanveer is also an active member of the New York Metro Blind Hockey Team, with ambitions to compete in competitive blind hockey in the near future.
Tanveer’s journey of resilience began with a childhood accident in Islamabad, when a fiery cricket ball struck his right eye, leaving him legally blind. Refusing to let this setback define him, he pursued sports with passion and went on to represent Pakistan in two World Championships, two European Championships, multiple World Ranking events, and the Andorra International Open, earning medals and global recognition.
After moving to the United States, Tanveer continued his dedication to archery and joined the USA Archery Team. Today, he is preparing to proudly represent the United States in the upcoming World Ranking Event and America’s Para Archery Cup.
For Tanveer, archery is more than just a sport—it is a testament to resilience, determination, and inspiring others to aim higher, no matter the obstacles.
